Submit Your Band

Release Information:
  • Purpose - To release a compilation of ska bands that most people have never heard of.
  • CD Name - The Underground Ska Project, Volume Uno
  • CD Setup - 20 bands, 20 songs, all Ska!
  • Cost - $5 US $8 Anywhere Else (This price includes shipping)
  • Release Date - Not yet determined (I am aiming at April 1st).

    • Requirements:
  • Your band must be some form of ska.
  • Your band must be actively playing.
  • Your band must have released at least a demo cd.
  • Your band must have not released an album or signed a contract with a major or semi-major label.

    • What We Need
  • Band Bio: Include a short 1-2 paragraph bio on the band, band members names, and website url(if available). Include this with the audio however you send it.
  • Audio: You can send it to us a couple ways. We would prefer 2-3 tracks but if you only have 1 it will do.
    •       1. Digitize it and email it to mmr@nerpher.com or monkeymanrecords@gmail.com - Mp3 (320kbps), Wav, SHN, or Flac
          2. Mail us a CD

  • Personal Contact Information: Include your name, address, and phone number. (this is so we can contact you if we select your band for the compilation.)

    • What Your Band Gets
  • The chance to have your band heard by many new people
  • Payment: Since this is our first release we will be offering bands two options for payment. (Payment methods will be setup per band once they are chosen.)
    •       Option 1: Receive an upfront payment of $20 and then an additional $5 for every 100 cds we sell.
          Option 2: Receive no upfront payment but recieve $5 for every 50 cds we sell.
  • A free copy. Each band will recieve one free copy of the cd.
  • You can also recieve additional compensation by selling the cds yourself at your shows. We are still working on how this will work, but it will be an option.
  • And don't worry about the rights to your music, because we take none of them away from you! If selected for the cd you sign a one song one album contract stating that we can only use the one song on this one album and have no other rights to the music.


    • Note: Just because you send us something does not guarantee that your band will appear on the cd. Anything mailed to us will not be returned.
